When trying to figure out where I wanted to stay, I noticed that there were 2 Holiday Inns in Ontario. They looked similar from the profile, similar costs, and what appears to be similar locations. If you have experienced the same confusion and are not sure which one to choose, let me make this simple... This is the "Express" and THIS IS THE ONE YOU WANT. Even as I passed through the lobby, many people walked in and had them mixed up. I actually felt sorry for the ones that had to go to the other location. This one is MUCH nicer and the location is MUCH better. The other one is basically a motel. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing super special about this place. But I assume if you're passing through the area and need a hotel this will check most of the boxes...above average accommodations, modern facilities and pleasant staff.

Our room was clean and ready when we arrived. Smooth and easy check-in. Room had updated furnishings and smooth & soft sheets. The AC worked well and was not too noisy. The neighboring guests were quiet and we got a restful night's sleep. Breakfast had hot food options as well as cold food. The breakfast room was conveniently located near the front desk, and had enough seating for the guests. The food was replenished as more guests arrived for breakfast. Desk clerks offered a list of recommended local restaurants which was helpful for us for locating a place for dinner.

Some small added details stood out to us, like having the full set of linens available in the room for the pull-out couch bed (w/no missing pieces), a small set of dishes/cutlery for the small kitchenette area, a nightlight included, as well as a bar soap option for the bathroom. The free breakfast and pool were also great to have.

The breakfast was decent however the seating area , though reasonably large, was filled with people and it was hard to find a place to sit where we weren't feeling like we were too close to others. The pancake machine was not working which was disappointing. The eggs and sausages were good. The fruit looked decent but it would've been nice to have melon as an alternative to apples and bananas.
